About 2017 WWC
Table Tennis World Cup is one of the highest level competitions hosted by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), and it is well-known with the Olympic Games and the world championships as the top three sports events.
In 2017, Canadian celebrates the 150th anniversary of Canada, at the same time, Markham city is honored to win the women’s world cup in the same year.

Mo Zhang (Canada)
She is a female Chinese-born table tennis player who now represents Canada. She was born in Shijiazhuang, and resides currently in Vancouver. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics, reaching the third round of the singles competition. With her win at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, she qualified for the London 2012 Olympic Games. She won a bronze medal in the women’s doubles with Anqi Luo at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. In June 2016, she was officially named to Canada’s 2016 Olympic team.
Ding Ning (China)
Ding Ning is a Chinese table tennis player. She was the winner of women’s singles in the 2011 World Table Tennis Championships. At the 2015 World Table Tennis Championships, Ding Ning won her second world title in women’s singles by defeating her compatriot Liu Shiwen 4-3 in the final. Ding Ning at the 2017 World Table Tennis Championships in Düsseldorf defeated Zhu Yuling 4-2 in the final and became the World Championship for the third time. She won the women’s table tennis singles gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics at the Rio Olympics where she beat compatriot Li Xiaoxia in the women’s singles final.
